Angelique says: If you’re a visual artist, you must have an image of your work represented – somehow – on your card.  I prefer a 2-sided card; one side holds an image of one of your best works on it, the other has your logo and contact info.  This prevents one side of your card from becoming over-crowded with an image, logo and your info.

Rachel says: don’t get too creative with sizes – a square-shaped card that doesn’t fit in my biz-card holder is likely to find its way to the recycling bin.  Sorry!  Stick to the basic rectangular shape or smaller; you can, however, and should get creative within those parameters.
